Director Community Services

Key Performance Areas:

• Lead and direct the provision of services for Fire & Disaster Management, Traffic Administration, Parks, Recreation & Resorts, Library Services, Cleansing Services and Council Buildings & Halls to the community in a sustainable and equitable manner
• Develop, implement, and manage strategic goals, policies, procedures, and plans for the Directorate in alignment with the Municipality’s strategic objectives
• Integrate service delivery in the context of the Council’s Integrated Development Plan and oversee the implementation
• Manage the Directorate, budget planning, implementation, and budget review to support priorities and deliverables in relation to the Integrated Development Plan
• Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Directorate
• Liaise and interact with individuals, role players and agencies on a senior level in all three spheres of government
• Provide advice and support to the Council, the Municipal Manager and other office bearers on all functions of the Directorate.
